Mummy on a Break
Everyone has a story. Their reason for starting their business. Mine is quite simple.
A year or so after I became a mum, I realised that things had changed for me personally. I’d lost all sense of who I was. Everything I was doing was about my family. My needs didn’t feature. I would look at my husband and be envious of the energy he had.
He worked just as hard as me but somehow he was still energised enough, once our daughter had gone to bed, to do things for him. Whereas I was exhausted. I felt like life was passing me by. So, I decided to leave my corporate job of 17 years and take back control. I took a huge leap of faith.
I took voluntary redundancy from my corporate job whilst I was on maternity leave with baby number 2. Without a plan!
I spent the next couple of years creating the life I deserved, although I didn’t know it at the time.
I set up my own art business. I started to volunteer at the local children’s hospital. I set up an annual children’s Christmas fair in support of CLIC Sargent, which to date has raised nearly £3000.
I’ve learned so much and with the support of my family and friends I’m now in a position where I actually feel like I’m living. I’ve taken back control. I’m now where I’m meant to be.
So I now help other mums who are feeling the same. Who are stuck. Who want to make changes. But don’t know where to start.
I have taken what I have learned and condensed it into different programmes that suit different needs whether it’s through self study in your own time or more support and guidance.
All programmes focus on 5 elements; Work, Relationships, Wellness, Money Matters and ‘The Fun Stuff’. All the elements that in essence make up your life.
Now is the time for you to take back control and make life what you always wanted it to be. After all, no one likes regrets. Before you know it, it’ll be too late and you don’t want to be thinking ‘I wish I’d done this…’ and ‘I wish I’d done that…’
Mummy on a Break is about supporting busy working mums to make changes to their lives. Giving them the space and time to put themselves first for a once. Helping them to:
*embrace and celebrate their true identity
*feel empowered and in control of their life
*feel energised and motivated to live life
*feel balanced and have the flexibility to do what they want
