Popple Services has been offering copywriting, proofreading and editing services for SMEs since 2019.
With 20 years of writing experience (both academic and journalistic) I can provide all your copywriting needs, including web content, social media posts, newsletters, press releases, articles, ghostwriting, book reviews and endorsements – if it can be written I can help.
To complement content creation I also proofread and edit material you may have produced inhouse such as websites, white papers, course materials and emails.
If you want to improve your own writing skills, including blog writing or embarking on your first non-fiction book then I offer training and mentoring programmes to get you started.
I offer a number of monthly packages for SMEs including weekly, fortnightly, or monthly blogs, as well as social media packages where your social media posts are delivered directly to your inbox.
If these don't quite fit your needs then the membership packages could work for you where you pay for content upfront and have a year to 'redeem' them. Or I can create a bespoke package just for you.
If you're worried about finding time to post blogs or social media posts I can also do this for you
12-week writing mentoring programme
A 12-week bespoke 1-2-1 mentoring programme to turn your idea for a non-fiction book into a manuscript you are proud to send to publishers for consideration.
With meetings every two weeks to discuss your project, within the programme you will plan, start to write and learn how to pitch your book to traditional publishers.
How great would it be to see your book on the shelf in high street shops? I can help.
Power Hours
Power Hours provide you with 1-2-1 guidance on whatever you need help with.
Do you need ideas for blog posts? Or guidance on how to write engaging posts?
Do you have an idea for a book and don't know how to proceed? Do you want advice on your web content or email campaigns?
Any help you need with the written word I can provide.
I've had an eclectic career spending more than 20 years as an Egyptologist where I taught Egyptology and Egyptian Hieroglyphs, as well as wrote books, feature and academic articles and appeared on documentaries as a talking head.
When I decided to move away from academia I retrained as a journalist and worked for three years on a local newspaper as a reporter before deciding to start my own business. And hence Popple Services was born.
I had my first book published in 2005 by Shire Egyptology, and since then I've had a further 16 books published including Ancient Egyptians for Dummies (John Wiley and Sons), In Bed with the Egyptians (Amberley), and The History of the Undead (Pen and Sword).
I recently sent my 18th book to the publisher which will be on the shelves in 2023 and I've just signed the contract for book number 19.
I like writing books - what can I say. And I've learned the hard way how to plan, pen and pitch.
