My focus is entirely on finding the right way for each couple or family to mark their milestone occasion in a beautiful and meaningful way – whether that is traditional or more alternative.

Wedding / Vow Renewal / Commitment Ceremonies
Deciding to make a public commitment to another person is a wonderful, exciting and indeed slightly scary time. There are so many decisions – so many choices and of course you want it to be perfect. But what does that actually look like to you? Whatever your vision I can help you to make it happen.

Using me to create and conduct your ceremony frees you up to have the day of your dreams at whatever venue you chose, at whatever time you want, with whatever theme you love and including everything that is meaningful to you. My ceremonies are relaxed and informal with your personal story at the very heart. I enjoy finding ways to involve your family and friends in the ceremony, finding ways for them to share their love and support for you so they feel part of the day rather than just sitting there listening to words they have heard many times before.

The vows you make to each other, which we craft together, mean that you are making commitments that have real meaning and relevance to you, in words which reflect you and your relationship and in a style you are comfortable with. There is no such thing as “one size fits all” when you are making promises for a lifetime and as this forms the foundation of your married life then it seems appropriate that they should be written exclusively for you.

Funeral / Celebration of Life / Memorial Ceremonies
Losing a loved one is often an upsetting, difficult and disempowering time. Many people fall back on ‘traditional’ ways of doing things, not realising that they can create a unique ceremony to celebrate their loved ones life including everything which was important to them, everything which will bring comfort to family and friends. I help families to find the right way to blend together songs, music, readings, videos, presentations, objects anything which reflects and celebrates the life of their loved one, and their impact on the world. I can help families to find the right place for their ceremony, freeing them from the restrictions that come with a Church or a crematorium only ceremony. I enable families to find the way to say what they want to say, in the way they want to.

Naming / Welcome to the Family Ceremonies
Increasingly parents are wanting to mark the birth of a child, and to include family and friends in making a public commitment to support, guide and take care of the new addition. Traditionally the only way to do this was with a Christening, but there is another option. I can create a unique naming ceremony which can involve as many or as few people as you would like, create vows and use poetry and music. I can write a celebration which truly reflects your beliefs and says the words you truly want to say.

When families apply for an Adoption Order to complete the legal adoption of a child it can be a bit of an anti-climax as the court appearance and process is quite speedy. Now you have the opportunity to create a Welcome to the Family Ceremony to mark the day with family and friends, to allow them to be part of the occasion and to publicly voice their commitment to the child and to the family. You can use music, poetry, vows, determinations, photographs, video – anything which makes your day special for you. Creating a unique welcome to the family is a wonderful way to mark this significant occasion and give you all wonderful memories to savour year after year.
